SA Power Networks at community information sessions

SA Power Networks is attending various community hubs in the lead-up to Christmas to answer questions on power issues in the River Murray.

“We have attended the SES sessions across the river, but thought daytime sessions would provide more opportunities for informing people in the Riverland communities,” said Paul Roberts, SA Power’s head of corporate affairs.

“We're hosting a series of pop-up community information hubs between 10am and 3pm. People can speak to our customer service representatives about their electricity supply issues.”

He said the first community session held at Renmark yesterday had been well received and thanked river-based councils for their support in suggesting venues and promoting the events.

The second session is being held at the Loxton Library and Visitor Centre today.

Mr Roberts reminded people to stay well clear of electricity infrastructure and to ensure they observe the 50 metre exclusion zones around power infrastructure standing in floodwaters.

“This will help minimise the likelihood of these higher voltage powerlines having to be turned off for safety reasons,” he said.

Further information is available via www.sapowernetworks.com.au or on social media.

Other Riverland sessions:

Thursday, December 15:

Location: Waikerie Library and Visitor Centre

Tuesday, December 20:
