Locals caught for August road offences

NUMEROUS motorists were caught driving under the influence in the Riverland during weekend traffic stops. 

On Sunday 4 August, Murray Mallee Police stopped a 24-year-old man driving on Derrick Street, Berri.

The man from Berri was submitted to a drug test, which allegedly tested positive.

The driver was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence and may be summonsed to attend Berri Magistrates Court pending a forensic analysis. 

On Sunday 4 August, Police stopped a 51-year-old man driving on Cooper Street, Berri. 

The Loveday man was submitted to a drug test, which allegedly tested positive for illicit substances. 

The driver was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence and may be summonsed to attend Berri Magistrates Court pending a forensic analysis.
