Berri Chinese restaurant listed as exposure site
1 min read

THE Riverland Hokkien Chinese Restaurant in Berri was announced as a casual contact Covid-19 exposure location last night.

Any patrons who visited the location between 7.15pm and 7.55pm on Wednesday night must get tested immediately and quarantine until receiving a negative result, get tested again on days six and 13, and wear a surgical mask around other people at all times.

They are also asked to avoid non-essential activities, shared spaces and contact with vulnerable people (elderly, pregnant, young children), and maintain physical distancing.

In an interview with the ABC this morning, the restaurant’s owner said the customer was picking up a take-away order and was not in the location for long.

He said when he found out it was “shocking”, but only one staff member had been in contact with the person in question.

Qantas flights from Sydney to Adelaide and Melbourne to Adelaide were also listed as exposure sites, and five other locations in Adelaide were listed as low-risk casual contact locations.
