Dana’s expertise is welcomed onto the RMCLHN’s governing board

THE State Government has made new appointments to local health network (LHN) boards, including the Riverland’s, with the roles set to monitor hospital performance and financial accountability.

Riverland Mallee Coorong LHN has welcomed Dana Tung-choi Shen to its governing board.

Ms Shen has worked in the public and non-for-profit sectors and also brings more than 20 years of experience in health, families and child protection. She has worked in a number of senior leadership roles in the South Australian public sector which has seen her develop strong expertise in system reform and co-design. She also has a strong commitment to culturally appropriate service delivery, informed by her Ngarrindjeri heritage.

“Having a breadth of experience and skillsets on our governing boards is crucial to the successful operation and management of our Local Health Networks,” Minster for Health and Wellbeing Blair Boyer said.

“These appointments are aimed at supporting our frontline workers to deliver the best possible healthcare to all South Australians.

“I would like to personally welcome the new governing board members and thank those outgoing for their contribution.

“I have made it a focus as the new Minister for Health and Wellbeing to ensure greater local representation on boards, which is reflected in these appointments.

“Local communities deserve strong local voices on their Local Health Networks.”
