DID your cartoonist Tony Hersey get out of bed on the wrong side last week?

His cartoon about Vincent Tarzia was in my view malicious, and very unfunny. The cartoon was obviously intended to give the impression that Mr Tarzia just swanned around the Riverland having a good time, impervious to the difficulties being faced by many businesses, growers and farmers, and that he was really not interested in what is going on in the region.

As one of the people he met, I found him eager to hear about issues in the Riverland and the problems being faced by many people.

I heard him speaking with farmers, and many other people who stopped to chat with him.

Perhaps Tony H might like to come up with a cartoon criticising Peter Malinauskas, who has not been seen in the Riverland since 2023.
