FOUR people were arrested in the Riverland earlier this week after allegedly lying to police near the South Australia-Victoria border.
A car was stopped on a dirt road near Loxton at about 5.30pm on Wednesday, October 13.
One man from the vehicle, a 34-year-old from New South Wales, allegedly admitted to having been in a restricted area and was arrested.
He was charged with breaching the Emergency Management Act and faced court yesterday.
It will be alleged three others in the vehicle all gave different accounts of where they had been in the previous 24 hours.
A 50-year-old Victorian woman, a 31-year-old NSW woman and a 32-year-old NSW man were placed in a medi-hotel while police investigated their movements.
The trio were subsequently arrested yesterday and charged with breaching the Emergency Management Act.
All three were refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
