BERRI Regional Secondary College year 11 and 12 students have had an extra day added to their Covid-19 circuit breaker, and will return to classes on Monday.
Through consultation with the Department for Education’s Covid Response Team, the school decided to extend the classroom closures to include Friday this week, altering the initial decision of a three-day breaker.
The decision for a short circuit breaker was initially made to reduce the impact of ongoing positive cases emerging in staff and students after the weekend.
In a statement released today, Berri Regional Secondary College principal Emily Griggs thanked the school community for its “continued efforts in supporting us to manage cases of Covid-19 which have emerged in our school”.
