A RIVERLAND student has been recognised for his bravery, perseverance, and strength last week, earning high praise from his school community and a state-wide award.

A RIVERLAND student has been recognised for his bravery, perseverance, and strength last week, earning high praise from his school community and a state-wide award.

Saving his family from a house-fire last year, Riverland Special School student Scotty received a Lions Children of Courage Award last Thursday, with South Australian Lions District — 201 C1— governor Ray Najar making a special trip to the Berri-based campus to hand over an award that has been celebrating the extraordinary achievements of young people living with a disability since 1989.
