Striking nurses and midwives from the Berri-based Riverland General Hospital — speaking to The Murray Pioneer under the condition of anonymity — earlier this month claimed the new State Government patient ratio laws were inefficient for rural and regional hospitals, and instead, are set to enforce current “high pressure” workloads.
