Waikerie was one of several Riverland towns hits with heavy late-spring downpours yesterday and again today.
The Murray Pioneer’s Riverland West journalist Christine Webster took this photo of Peake Terrace late Wednesday.
Anecdotal reports have been circulating of up to 40mm of rain in some Riverland West areas.
Last night's Loxton High School prom proceeded at The Precinct despite the showers, with umbrellas to the fore. Renmark High School's prom is on tonight, at 23rd Street Distillery, Renmark.
Rain is continuing across the Riverland this morning.
