THE LOCAL community has voted and named several Riverland students as winners of a fruit fly awareness competition earlier this month.

The Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA)’s Fruit Fly Response Program invited Riverland students to design stickers to raise awareness of fruit fly earlier this year, with awardees recently receiving a winning title, and receiving $200 donation from Citrus SA and SA Avocado Growers Association to their respective schools, including:
