Budget a strong foundation for council sustainability

THE District Council of Loxton Waikerie has maintained its commitment to minimising the burden on ratepayers, with a general rate revenue increase of 3.9 per cent for 2026-27, below the current Consumer Price Index of 4.9 per cent.

This represents the fifth time in the past six years the council has kept its rate increase below CPI.

The 2026/2027 budget and the long-term financial plan 2027-2036 was adopted at the District Council of Loxton Waikerie’s monthly meeting, on June 17, held at Waikerie.
