Skywhales Across Australia – event rescheduled
The District Council of Loxton Waikerie announced that due to forecast weather conditions, the Skywhales Across Australia sunrise launch in Loxton this Sunday was no longer safe to proceed this weekend.
RIVERLANDERS hoping to see a sky-high art exhibition in Loxton, will have to organise their schedules, as weather constrains have pushed the event one weekend later.
The District Council of Loxton Waikerie announced that due to forecast weather conditions, the Skywhales Across Australia sunrise launch in Loxton this Sunday was no longer safe to proceed this weekend.
The good news for Riverland residents is that Skywhale and Skywhalepapa will now take to the skies on next week, on Sunday August 16, at the Precinct Loxton, inflating from 5.30am (weather permitting).
The Arts on Terrace festivities will still go ahead as planned this Sunday, August 9, from 9am-1pm, with a full day of entertainment, workshops, exhibitions and skywhale-themed fun.
With celebrations now spread across two weekends, there’s even more activities to experience in Loxton.
