The town of Morgan is holding the Morgan Living River Festival, an event that recognises the historical past of the town's connection to the Murray River. Small wooden (putt putt) boats and paddle steamers from a past era can be seen coming together to celebrate the history on the water. The festival will feature live music, food stalls, kid's activities, historical displays, along with water activities, paddle boat rides and more.
Loxton will be alive with fun and activities this Easter Saturday with a free picnic on East Terrace. Come and enjoy the kid's craft activities and an egg-citing new Easter egg hunt. Free hot cross buns from The Country Bakehouse and the Riverland's Nippy's drinks. Loxton's vibrant shopping precinct will be open from 9am - 12:30pm, with kid's activities running from 10am - 12 noon.

Get ready Riverland as the infamous Riverland Food & Wine Festival makes its return to the region for the March long weekend, Saturday March 7, 2026. They've turned an old favourite into new beginnings bringing the Riverland's freshest cuisine, wine, and entertainment to the banks of Berri's riverfront. Local wineries will be featured with tasting flights of their top products, along with food options available from numerous food trucks. Enjoy the music at the outdoor stage. The 2026 Loxton Mardi Gras is a free family fun day for all, standing as one of Australian's longest running community parades, now it its 69th year. Participants spend the months leading up to the event to fundraise for their chosen charities and end the festival with a parade and the overall winners. 50+ floats and vehicles to be expected, along with the Nippy's Great Underarm Orange Bowling Event, children's entertainment, games, bands - it will be a day not to be missed. Come and enjoy the magic of Christmas at the 2025 Barmera Santa's Cave display. This fantastical wonderland of displays, lights, and the big man in red is guaranteed to light up the eyes of every child, and inner child. Displays including Candyland, Elf Village and Reindeer Barn have been specially put together by tireless volunteers and are not to be missed.

The Loxton Christmas Wonderland has become a Riverland icon over the Christmas period and the festive season would not be complete without a visit. Celebrating their 40th year, we don't doubt they will be bringing out all the stops to dazzle everyone this year. Situated at the new location on the Loxton Oval, enjoy laps of entertainment as you walk through the nativity scenes, large iconic decorations and make sure to find all 10 'Wally's' hidden throughout the display.

Starting at the Renmark Wharf and taking the leisurely row upstream passed the popular sandstone Heading's Cliffs, the long row is open to all ages and abilities. True Grit SA 2025 is back on at their Caudo Vineyard site near Waikerie, on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May, 8am - 4pm both days. This 10km course featuring 30 obstacles, designed by former Australian Special Forces, is set to challenge everyone. And if the full course sounds too much, try the half course (5km including 15 obstacles). With designs based on their military experience, the obstacles are tailored around the native vegetation and terrain of the region. Entry for spectators is free and encouraged. Camping is also available.

Jump abroad Renmark's iconic 1911 PS Industry over the Easter long weekend. The fully restored paddle steamer offers an opportunity to step back in time with their 60-minute cruises. It will be smooth sailing departing from the magnificent recently upgraded Renmark Riverfront, cruising past river gums, abundant wildlife all whilst listening to the turning of the paddle wheels and hiss of steam as the whistle blows.
