Waikerie Senior Citizens ‘needles and hooks’ this weekend

The Waikerie Senior Citizens group is planning a fundraiser, titled ‘needles and hooks’, which will feature a display of craft and collectables, on Saturday, October 16, and Sunday, October 17, at its Sichler Street location.

Admission is via a gold coin donation. Coinciding with the Waikerie Flower Show, the event will feature a raffle, trading table, morning and afternoon teas for $5.

“We are hoping some people will visit the flower show, then come and see what we have,” a spokesperson said.

“There will be macramé on show, and a demonstration for doing the knots. Macramé is in fashion at present.”
