Students raise awareness about impact of bullying
The annual national event was instigated by Dolly’s Dream, a not-for-profit organisation established by Kate and Tick Everett, in 2018, after their daughter Dolly took her own life, following an extended period of bullying and cyberbullying.
SWAN Reach Area School students from reception to year 12 recently took part in their own ‘Do It For Dolly’ event to raise awareness about mental health, and the devastating effect of bullying.
Each year, during May, thousands of students in Australian schools take part in a National Day of Action calling on Australians to end bullying.
