VOLUNTEERS and committee members for the Renmark Riverland Rose Festival are putting the finishing touches on their 26th event, which is set to kick off this Friday.
Festival president Sheree Chappel said organisers were “extremely excited for the festival” which will run from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 25.
“There’s been a lot of hard work that’s gone into this year’s festival, so it is going to be really nice to see it all come together,” she said.
“Everything is organised and planned, and now it’s just about putting it all together on the day.”
Mrs Chappel said she was looking forward to seeing plenty of locals and visitors attend the variety of events scheduled for the festival, including a range of open gardens across the Riverland and the Festival Fair.
“We are hoping people will come out and support the festival,” she said.
“Looking at the weather forecast, it’s going to be beautiful over the weekend so I can’t see what would be stopping people coming out and supporting our 26th Renmark Riverland Rose Festival.”
