That’s the Christmas Day weather forecast for the Riverland, expecting a warm, sunny day, with light winds and an ideal summertime maximum of 35C, after an overnight low of 14C

Following one of the coolest years on record, the Riverland is about to enjoy an overdue burst of hot weather, with Monday’s Boxing Day temperature tipped to hit 38C.

Last year Renmark reached 34C on Christmas Day, then hit 39.7C on New Year’s Eve.
