PIRSA works with region’s leaders on diversification
PIRSA recently convened a collaborative workshop, where government agencies, local councils, regional leaders, and wine industry representatives came together to discuss the challenges the region is facing.
THE Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA) is working with local government, wine industry figures, and regional leaders to support economic transition and diversification in the Riverland.
A spokesperson from the department said this is was needed in response to decline in the wine and grape industry, especially in the Riverland – Australia’s largest wine region by volume produced.
