Nothing but scams these days?
MOST would agree not all is well in Australia, and what sums up this malaise is the word ‘scam’.
MOST would agree not all is well in Australia, and what sums up this malaise is the word ‘scam’.
Profit by scamming the NDIS, the worst program in our history. Scamming the tax department – everyone does it. Scam companies with payroll fraud, ghost employees and fake companies.
Scam at the supermarket by lifting the price of groceries – we all have to eat. Scam energy consumers by gold-plating infrastructure. Scam the public by advertising shares to buy, while company directors sell.
Scam money in trusts, spend it and say you have depression. Scam the country with fake climate change offsets.
The list is endless, but it wasn’t always like that. In the past people put in the hard yards to achieve success, but something for nothing is now the way.
That’s because narcissism and self-interest rule, giving a sense of entitlement without responsibility.
Fixing this problem will probably need the pain of a worldwide depression or war. Thanks to our mega-scammers in the United States, that’s likely.
