Checking out the progress of the Taplan Road sealing last week were Loxton Waikerie council’s road construction and capital projects co-ordinator, deputy mayor Trevor Norton, councillors Sonya Altschwager and Peter Walker, Barker MP Tony Pasin, council’s director of infrastructure services Greg Perry and councillors Michael Vowles and Terry Wheeldon. Taplan Road recently had 17kms prepared and bituminised under phase two of the Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program. Last week, an additional $1.65m as part of phase three was announced.
