MMC appoints new CEO

A RIVERLAND council has appointed a new CEO as part of its improvement plan seeking long-term financial sustainability while continuing to deliver services and infrastructure to the community.

Mid Murray Council announced the appointment of Andrew Johnson as its new chief executive officer, bringing extensive executive leadership experience in local government, having served as chief executive officer of the Town of Walkerville, LGA Mutual and the Port Pirie Regional Council, along with senior leadership roles across local government in both South Australia and New South Wales.
