Man's body located in water north of Waikerie

POLICE have located the body of a man in waters at Taylorville, north of Waikerie today.

At about 2.15pm police and emergency services attended an area off Taylorville Road after a member of the public reported seeing the body of a person in the water.

“Police responded with the assistance of CFS and SES personnel, and located the body of a man in Ross Lagoon,” SAPOL said in a statement.

Taylorville Road has been closed between Devlins Pound Road and Twigden Road while Murray Mallee police and detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

The man is yet to be identified.
