Low-income households can register for battery savings

RIVERLAND residents living in eligible South Australian Housing Trust homes are being encouraged to register their interest in a community battery program that could reduce annual electricity bills by hundreds of dollars, according to a Riverland-based solar energy expert.

The State Government has committed an additional $15m over four years to continue the rollout of its emPowering SA community batteries program, delivered in partnership with AGL. The initiative aims to provide lower-cost renewable energy to more than 10,000 nominated low-income households across the state.
