SUPPORT from Riverland disability workers, family members and the wider community has seen a young local overcome challenges toward gaining a driver’s license — a milestone Kaitie once believed would never be possible.

Riverland 20-year-old Kaitie Francis, who lives with mucopolysaccharidosis type IH (Hurler’s syndrome or MPS 1H), has spent years overcoming medical hurdles while progressing through a driving program blending simulation technology, hands-on learning and steady determination.
