Futsal competition reaches halfway point

ABCDE FC were on song for much of the afternoon in the men’s competition, slamming 13 goals past Men in Black, recording an 11-goal victory in the process.
Pawan Johal was the key feature in attack with a four-goal effort, while Kevin Barber and Connie Vallelonga both recorded hat-tricks.
FC Espadas also tasted victory in the men’s competition, defeating the 2018 Cavs by 7-3, as superstar Vinnie Vu continues a superb season.
Vu put through a hat-trick in an impressive showing, while Tony Mitchell and Seth Martin’s braces ensured the win would be earned.
In the women’s grade, a forfeit from Rogue Raiders gave Mixed Muffins a free 5-0 victory, while Tastes Like Chicken gave Kiss My Pass a lesson.
Tastes Like Chicken found the back of the net on eight occasions, with Matilda Mitchell able to display why she is one of the competition’s best, scoring three goals.
Tastes Like Chicken also won in the mixed competition, coincidentally by the same margin, with BBQ Sauce soundly defeated.
Mitchell scored another two, but it was Tony Mitchell’s four goals which stole the show, beating out a two-goal effort from Maggie Lock, of BBQ Sauce.
Maradona Kebab smashed eight goals past Kiss My Pass to no reply, finding seven different goal scorers for the match.
No Limits also scored eight goals in its victory over Dribblers, which managed three in reply to reduce the overall margin to five.
No Kane No Gain had the equal highest winning margin from the junior competitions, defeating Six Seven by 14-3 for an 11-goal victory.
