Diesel theft occurs at Cooltong

Sometime between April 3, and June 4, approximately 4000L of diesel was stolen from a farming property, on Stoney Pinch Road, at Cooltong.

Diesel theft occurs at Cooltong

POLICE are investigating the theft of a large volume of diesel from a property at Cooltong.

Sometime between April 3, and June 4, approximately 4000L of diesel was stolen from a farming property, on Stoney Pinch Road, at Cooltong.

Frost fans containing 1100L of diesel each were accessed by cutting a fenceline.

Farm owners are being encouraged to utilise security measures, such as CCTV, locks and GPS tracking devices on machinery and equipment with significant value, while also doing regular spot checks of rural business locations, which can assist in deterring would-be thieves and detecting suspicious behaviour.

Locals are reminded that any suspicious vehicles or activity around rural properties can be reported by contacting police on 131 444.
