60 years of giving

BERRI Churches Welfare Group opportunity shop celebrated its 60th birthday earlier this month, with the milestone marked by generous donations throughout the Riverland.

Supported by church members and volunteers, the not-for-profit has long-provided the region with a range of clothing, footwear, accessories, and more, with funds raised redirected solely into the Riverland programs and community groups.

Using donations raised from the birthday celebration, the charity has distributed substantial funds to the following local businesses:

• The Royal Flying Doctors Service.
• Riverland Domestic Violence Unit.
• Riverland Christmas Appeal.
• Riverland Radio Life FM.
• Anglicare.
• Berri Girl Guides.
