RESTORATION of a 113-year-old river boat has been given a significant boost as part of a $1.34 million funding injection into river tourism projects across the Mid Murray district.
STREET scaping, signage, boat ramp facility upgrades and better river access are all on the cards for the Blanchetown Revitalisation project, with $495,000 to be spent on improving the town.
BEAUTIFICATION is the word in Waikerie, as a funding injection of almost $1 million will go towards further landscaping in the CBD and river-front development. Waikerie received $900,000 in Federal Government funding, via the District Council of Loxton Waikerie (DCLW) with $450,000 for the Waikerie River-front Revitalisation Project and $450,000 for the Waikerie CBD Revitalisation.
