Sustainable students say ‘straws suck’

The Renmark Club has banned plastic straws and foam containers and switched to environmentally-friendly products after receiving a letter from St Joseph’s School Renmark year 4 student Mahlia Gill (front, centre). Peta-Marie Philippou completed a Bachelor of Media majoring in Journalism at the University of Adelaide in 2016. She grew up in Adelaide before moving to the Riverland to pursue her career as a journalist. Peta-Marie also has a strong interest in marketing and has a Master in Marketing degree. She enjoys baking, water sports and reading gossip magazines.
