RIVERLAND darts had a good turnout for the Handicap Singles and Doubles at the Barmera Club last week.
In the doubles, Callum and Finlay Cassell partnered up to win the first round, with Les Platten and Corey Wagner winning the second round to play Callum and Finlay in the final.
Callum and Finlay were able to hold out Les and Corey for the title.
Finlay had the highest peg of the day with 110, while Broden May, and Steve Lockwood, top scored with 180.
In the singles, Andrea Sostegni won the first round to make the final against Corey Wagner who won the second round, and with Sostegni playing well, was able to win the title.
Highest peg was Gloria Dyer, with 85, and Broden May had the top score with 180.
In weekly matches, Monash Wanderers accounted for B.R.D.T 14-1 to claim fourth spot going into the finals.
Calib Martin was the pick of the Wanderers, along with Dave Martin, who had the high peg of the night, with 119.
R C Ones sealed second spot with a 14-1 win over Lakeside Joey’s, with Darcy Crane returning in good form with an average of 21.89, along with Wayne Schwartzkopff having a 110 peg out.
Third place Waikerie Vipers won 12-3 over Lake Leviathans, with Shane McKinnon leading the way with an average of 26.69, and scoring 180 three times.
Cobby Eagles had the closest match of the night, winning 10-5 over Lyrup Lionhearts, with Darren Parfitt finding form at the right time of the year.
