THE Riverland Soccer Association will this week hold the Top Four Cup semi-finals, following a week off after the premiership season drew to a close on August 31.
Soccer fans will head to Loxton this Sunday for a massive weekend of fixtures, with hopes of reaching the final on the line.
The semi finals will have clear air from opposing Riverland sports, and a strong crowd is expected throughout the day, with all clubs competing.
Action begins from 8am, on Sunday morning, in the under 12 competition, with Berri to take on Loxton on pitch one, and Renmark doing battle with Barmera on the second pitch.
Soccer will be played right up until 3.40pm, when the main showcase begins as the A grade men take to the field.
Barmera will take on home club Loxton, while Berri hopes to pull off the upset of the season when it faces reigning cup holders Renmark Olympic.
Next week’s edition of The Murray Pioneer will have a full wrap of the semi-final action across the grades, as well as look forward to the finals, held at Renmark’s Steve Poutakidis Sports Ground, on September 20.
