Terrific toys on display at Berri Library

A VARIETY of historical toys dating back as far as the 1920s are on display at the Berri Library as part of South Australia’s History Festival.
A number of Riverlanders have loaned their old toys to the library for the month to celebrate the month-long festival.
Berri Library local history officer Jacque Zagotsis said she was grateful for the community’s response.
“I cannot thank those enough who have loaned us some of their special toys, it has really made a great display,” she said.
“There’s a selection of dolls, boardgames, metal trucks and cars, tea sets, books, teddies, trainsets, prams, pedal cars, matchbox cars and more.
“There’s more than 200 toys in the library and it’s great to see how well-kept these toys are.”
Mrs Zagotsis encouraged locals to view the display and said “there’s something for everyone to enjoy”.
