Take a book, leave a book

BOOK lovers can now share their favourite pages with fellow readers, thanks to a Loxton community initiative.
The Loxton Historical Village has set-up a book swap cupboard, which encourages both locals and visitors to take a book and leave one in its place.
Loxton Historical Village volunteer Leanne Kaesler said the cupboard is situated near the entrance and is always accessible.
“The aim was to provide something for the community that they can share their love of books and magazines,” she said.
“We’ve had lots of great, positive comments.”
Mrs Kaesler said her husband, and Loxton Historical Village chairperson Paul Kaesler, came up with the idea.
“The idea is to take a book and leave a book,” she said. “People have books and don’t know what to do with them sometimes.”
