Spectators and players reminded to relax

A LOCAL sporting association is reminding spectators and players to take a deep breath and relax following examples of poor behaviour so far this season.
The Riverland Soccer Association (RSA) has gotten on the front foot and is urging people to not get carried away while watching or playing in matches, in a bid to curb poor behaviour.
RSA president Michael Cartwright said while the issue hasn’t gotten out of hand, he felt it was important to remind people to behave.
“This is not a major issue and we don’t suggest that there is a fundamental problem within the RSA but more a timely reminder for all players and spectators before behaviour becomes more a talking point than the skill and effort put in by the players and club volunteers,” he said.
