School’s (finally) out for Riverland year 12s

YEAR 12 students across the Riverland are cheering as they finish their final exams, ready for the nerve-wracking month-long wait for their ATAR scores.
The 43 Waikerie High School (WHS) year 12 students finished their final exam, physics, last Thursday.
“It’s kind of unreal that it’s over, but I’m definitely looking forward to sleeping for a few days now,” said student Will Campbell.
“Waiting for the results to come out is going to be hard but it’ll be good to have a bit of a break.”
WHS students were involved with four hard-copy exams, while biology and history were completed online.
The ATAR results will be released on Tuesday, December 15, with students already planning the next step for their futures.
“We get to have a bit of a sigh of relief now, but not much chance to have a break,” student Bonnie Dolphin said.
“University’s going to come around the corner fast, and I’ve got plenty of work shifts until then.”
WHS principal Craig Griffiths said he was “confident” the school’s 2020 year 12 class would be able to follow their chosen pathways.
“We’ve had a great class of year 12s this year, and wish them all the best heading forward,” he said.
“Time for them to take a well-earned break over Christmas.”
