RPN voucher program launches

A RIVERLAND business group will this week launch a program giving residents an extra incentive to support local shops.
The Renmark Paringa Network (RPN) will tomorrow launch its Promotional Vouchers initiative, which will see the value of vouchers for local businesses matched by the group.
RPN membership and marketing co-ordinator Georgie Vermeeren said Renmark Paringa Council funding of $40,000 – provided in April – made the program possible.
“We are heavily supported in this initiative by council,” Ms Vermeeren said.
“Our participating businesses will be listed on the vouchers and they’ll be on sale for anyone who’s part of the Renmark Paringa Council area.
“We want to bring on as many businesses as possible.
“If a business has the capacity to accept a voucher and then seek reimbursement from the RPN after they’ve collected the voucher, we want to see them on board.”
Renmark Paringa Council residents are each able to purchase vouchers between $10 (equalling $20) and $50 (equalling $100).
Ms Vermeeren said using the vouchers would help local businesses survive the ongoing economic impacts of COVID-19.
“We want to see as many residents getting on board as possible,” she said.
“We will be printing $20 vouchers and residents will be able to purchase up to five.
“Spending local has been such a big message and supporting your local businesses, particularly through the current climate, is so vital.
“Things have been different this year and spending local is more important than ever.
“Buying one of these vouchers is going to encourage local spend and that’s how we hope to give back to the businesses.”
The RPN Promotional Vouchers will be available tomorrow at the Renmark Paringa Council chambers, from 5pm until sold out.
