Renmark food outlets targeted by vandals

TWO instances of vandalism occurring at local food businesses over the weekend are currently being investigated.
Police were called to Renmark Fish and Chips around 9pm on Saturday night, when an act of vandalism resulted in the business’ front door being smashed.
Renmark Fish and Chip Shop owner Corey Foreman said cold drinks were also taken from the premises.
“A staff member alerted me after 9pm that the door had been kicked in,” Mr Foreman said.
“I drove down to the shop and contacted the police. They came and took down the details… my night finished about 1am.
“I’m not sure if they were looking for more and then the car driving past spooked them, because the iced coffees are right by the door.”
It is unknown whether the situation was related to a similar instance of vandalism occurring later on Saturday night at the Renmark Domino’s store.
Anyone with further information regarding either incident is asked to contact the Berri police station on 8595 2020.
