Open gardeners are Rose Festival ready

GARDENERS from across the region are busily preparing their gardens for next month’s Renmark Riverland Rose Festival.
The Rose Festival is now only four weeks away, with a number of local gardeners putting up their hand to show off their properties for the festival’s open garden program.
Gardens will be on display from Friday, October 16, through to Sunday, October 25.
Over the past few weeks, the committee has been visiting gardeners and have been “heartened” by the level of enthusiasm and anticipation to receiving visitors again this year.
“We have a healthy spread of open gardens over the 10 days with plenty of gardens open to visitors throughout the whole week, that will provide many opportunities for visitors to our region to enjoy the best we have to offer,” said Sheree Chappel, Renmark Riverland Rose Festival president.
Approximately 20 open gardens will be of offer throughout the district over the 10 days of the festival. For festival updates stay in touch with the Murray Pioneer, the festival website and Facebook page.
