New high school’s true colours

THE newly-labelled Berri Regional Secondary College – currently Glossop High School – officially has its own identity, with three school colours announced to the public yesterday.
Royal blue, navy and orange were decided upon by the Governing Council, with input from the school’s branding committee, which is made up of students, staff, parents and local community members.
The decision was reached following community consultation, attracting more than 350 responses.
Principal Emily Griggs said Glossop High School’s rich history would continue to have strong links through the establishment of Berri Regional Secondary College and that the colours recognised these links.
“The new colours will provide a progressive and contemporary platform for our school moving forward and an opportunity for the school to have its own identity,” she said.
“Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during the consultation period.
“This information has been held confidentially since mid-December 2020, providing the Governing Council and the branding focus group time to work together to inform the uniform and logo concepts and designs.”
Following the release of the new school colours, uniform and logo concepts are now up for public consultation.
“We are encouraging anyone who may be interested in providing feedback regarding our logo concepts and our uniform to please do it through the consultation survey as advertised through our school website and Facebook page,” Ms Griggs said.

The survey will close on Friday, April 23.
