More works for East Terrace rotunda

THE District Council of Loxton Waikerie says maintenance work on Loxton’s East Terrace rotunda will be underway as soon as tradesmen can be acquired.
The council began development on a number of East Terrace revitalisation projects last year, with repair work on the rotunda scheduled as part of those plans.
District Council of  Loxton Waikerie CEO David Beaton said the area of the rotunda that faces towards the council chambers was fracking and coming away, and in need of repair.
The council is yet to engage a stone mason to undertake work on the rotunda, but Mr Beaton said as soon as the tradesmen with the necessary skills were acquired, work would begin effective immediately.
Over the past year, the rotunda has also undergone a $4651 irrigation replacement in addition to having its roof replaced.
The council is also expected to design and install the crossing on Drabsch Street in the coming months as part of the upgrades.
