Mezzanine completion inches closer

STEPHANIE THOMPSON
THE fit-out of the highly-anticipated mezzanine in The Precinct Loxton is nearing completion.
District Council of Loxton Waikerie elected members toured the building site during this month’s meeting to check the progress of the project.
Speaking to the group, council’s project manager Daniel Brown said tradesmen were busy completing the project.
“A significant amount of work has happened in the last fortnight or so,” he said. “We are still aiming for the end of April to have everything up and running.”
The area, which overlooks the Loxton Oval, includes a commercial kitchen, cool room, freezer and dry store, bar, function area and store room.
In a report to councillors, it stated the $1.5 million project had been delayed by supply issues.
The Murray Pioneer understands that council is working through management models for the The Precinct Loxton, including the mezzanine.
