Loxton upgrades its filtration systems

NEW inline water filters installed in Loxton’s waterways will ensure less debris gets caught in the town’s watering systems.
The District Council of Loxton Waikerie sought to install new inline water filters at the McMillan Street dam and Habel’s Bend pump back in February, after it found the old pump water systems did not have the filtration to take out debris, causing
sprinkler blockages.
Contractors began work on the installation at the end of May, and as of last month, have officially completed the $34,816 project.
District Council of Loxton Waikerie CEO David Beaton said the new filters should be an effective answer to the issue, and will ensure the systems are at their maximum efficiency.
