Emergency services were called to the incident on Robertson Avenue, Loxton, at about 7.15pm after the Holden sedan crashed into a stobie pole.
A police spokesperson said the driver left the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.
“The driver, a 23-year-old Loxton man, had been taken to the local hospital for treatment after sustaining lacerations to his head,” the spokesperson said.
