It’s a quiz night for a good cause

RIVERLANDERS are encouraged to attend a quiz night fundraiser to help raise money for a vital local medical service.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service Quiz Night will take place on Friday, July 23, from 7pm, at the Berri, with all proceeds going to the service.
Royal Flying Doctor Service Riverland Support Group member Bronwyn Cant said it was a “fantastic cause for people to get behind”.
“The Royal Flying Doctor Service has been delivering services to the Riverland for many, many years,” she said.
“We’re at the stage where there are two flights a day coming into Riverland airports, so not just Renmark but Loxton and Waikerie as well.
“That’s a significant amount and why it’s important to support through fundraising so they can purchase planes and meet any shortfall in their operating budget.
“A lot of Riverlanders have benefitted from the service.”
Prizes worth up to $1200 will be up for grabs on the night.
Organisers thanked their sponsors including Santos Ready Mix Concrete, for their generous donations towards the event.
Tickets are $15 per person for teams of six or attendees can be randomly placed in a team. A light supper is provided.
Tickets are available from the Berri Hotel, Berri Newsagency, and Renmark Square Newsagency until July 19.
