Helen’s big Betta TV win

A GLOSSOP woman has been left “overwhelmed” after winning the Murray Pioneer’s Berri Betta Home Living TV giveaway.
Helen Morgan received her smart television – which was valued at $1000 – last week, after collecting all six reader’s competition adverts from the months of April and May.
Mrs Morgan said it had been a “long while” since she and her husband had won anything.
“I don’t recall the last time I won anything and my husband seems to think the last time he won something was from a colouring-in competition as a kid,” she said.
“We buy the Murray Pioneer every Wednesday, and when we saw the competition in the paper my husband encouraged me to enter.
“He told me he had a good feeling about the competition and he was right.”
Mrs Morgan said the television is an upgrade to what the couple have now.
“The television we have now is much smaller and more basic,” she said.
“The new television would be perfect for our living room and now I can take the old one into my sewing room with me.”
Mrs Morgan thanked the Murray Pioneer and Berri Betta Home Living for the opportunity.
“I’m a regular customer at Berri Betta so I know how fantastic the stock is,” she said.
“It was special that the Pioneer collaborated with Berri Betta and my husband and I are grateful for the television.”
The television was originally the first prize for the Murray Pioneer’s footy tipping competition, however after the contest was cancelled Berri Betta Home Living and the Pioneer were still keen to give away the prize.
