Green light to train, but strict protocols to follow

FOOTBALLERS across the Riverland could return to training as early as next week, however strict health and social distancing protocols will need to be met to allow this to happen.
The move comes following the SANFL’s announcement over the weekend that following State Government approval, it will allow on-field training for seniors and juniors in groups of 10 from Monday, May 18.
The SANFL said it would use this week to help plan, implement and communicate to members hygiene protocols and enable the delivery of an education program to all 257 SANFL and community clubs across the state.
This is to ensure clubs undertake the necessary preparations for returning to play in a COVID-19 environment.
Riverland Football League chairman Shane Uren said while it is a positive step, clubs will have to be very thorough when it comes to adhering to the rules and guidelines put in place by the SANFL.

“There are some pretty strict protocols that clubs have to meet to do this,”
