Face-to-face services return for Berri Barmera Council

BERRI Barmera Council have reopened the doors to council libraries, visitor centres and the Berri office for face-to-face services following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
The council office and Berri Visitor Information Centre (VIC) reopened last week, after the Berri and Barmera libraries and Barmera VIC all reopened the week before.
Sneeze screens have been installed at council facilities and hand sanitiser is provided to help ensure the health and safety of council staff and the community.
Berri Barmera CEO Karyn Burton said council staff who had been working from home were glad to be able to return to work and looked forward to delivering face-to-face services to the community.
“Although it started off well, not having all the staff in the office has made it feel a little bit disjointed,” she said.
“It’s been nice to start to return to some sort of normalcy.”
Playgrounds, open spaces, skate parks, three council-controlled campsites, Lake Bonney Surrounds, Barmera RV Park and Martin’s Bend, have also reopened recently.
“Council will be ensuring campers abide by social distancing regulations while on the campsites,” Ms Burton said.
