Emergency services team up to release driver

LOCAL emergency services helped rescue a trapped motorist after his car collided with a truck in Loxton on Friday.
The collision occurred around 11.30am on Tobruk Terrace.
Loxton MFS, SAPOL and SA Ambulance attended the scene, and quickly worked to release the driver.
“The single occupant was trapped in the vehicle so we had to release him out of the vehicle,” said Micheal Biele, Loxton MFS station officer.
“We had to basicially pull the vehicle off of the truck by reversing the truck off of the car.
“The occupant was taken by an ambulance then shortly after was flown to Adelaide by helicopter.”
It is understood the man is in a stable condition.
Mr Biele said, as always, it was an example of excellent team work between the local emergency services workers.
“It was really good work by all the emergency services to work together and get him out of the vehicle,” he added.
