Crowds of 500 to be allowed at country football

ALL eyes are now on the Riverland Football League commission and club officials following a major announcement late yesterday afternoon from the SANFL regarding crowd numbers at grassroots football matches.
In an email sent out in the lead up to last night’s meeting between the SANFL and league presidents and secretaries across the state, the SANFL confirmed crowds of up to 500 will be permitted from Friday, July 3.
While a number of other topics were also to be discussed at last night’s meeting, the allowance of 500 people to attend grassroots football is a major step towards a possible return to country football in 2020.
